Elizabeth S Woods, MD

Dr. Woods is a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist serving in Madison, Wisconsin and the surrounding communities. In addition to diagnostic evaluation, medication management and psychotherapy, emphasis includes broader areas of wellness. Dr. Woods enjoys working with patients and families in a variety of settings. In addition to care provided at Woods Psychiatry and Wellness LLC, Dr. Woods also is the child and adolescent psychiatrist at Rock County Human Services where she supports children and families in the Comprehensive Community Services Program. Dr. Woods also provides coverage at the Meriter Child and Adolescent Psychiatric hospital. Prior to her current roles, she was a primary provider at Meriter Intensive Outpatient Services program as well as the Meriter adult and child and adolescent inpatient and general hospital consultative services. Dr. Woods specializes in working with children, adolescents and their families, as well as see clients into middle adulthood. Areas of clinical interest include mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, Autism, tic disorders, trauma, insecure attachment, and parenting issues. Dr. Woods earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed three-years of general psychiatry residency at the Barnes Jewish Hospital-Washington University in St Louis, followed by a two-year fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the UW Health. Dr. Woods is an active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association.
